Old Laurentian U. S. Tour
May 4-9, 2007
SATURDAY, MAY 5
For those that were not able to get to the games at the Columbia
Park pitch over the extended weekend & based on the crowds there
couldn’t be many of you, it was a great weekend of Rugby consisting
of the Old Boy’s Tournament and 2 feature matches, with 1
on Saturday afternoon & the other on Tuesday night.
As expected the old Boy tournament was fantastic, only to be overshadowed
by the feature matches between the current Metropolis stalwarts
and the invading OL’s. It was heartening to see the level
of intensity from both Metropolis teams against the tourists, producing
some of the most tightly contested Rugby I’ve seen during
my time here in the US. To watch both Metropolis teams perform the
way they did over the weekend made me feel very proud to be a member
of the club.

The Combined Metro\OL Oldboy team was declared the winner of the
tournament after the completion of pool play after winning both
matches drawing with the Metropolis Old Boy team which deferred
the result to distance traveled.
